Privacy
What we hold, and why.
This notice describes exactly what beyondscarcity.earth collects when you join the convening, where it goes, and your rights. It is written from the actual code that runs the form, not from a template.
Who is responsible
The controller is Beyond Scarcity, founded by Sayer Ji and Dr. Tia Kansara. Contact: privacy@beyondscarcity.earth. [Registered entity name and address to be added when the corporate entity is formed.]
What we collect when you join
- Name and email address — what you type.
- Organisation and role — optional, what you choose.
- Your consent — the form will not submit without the box ticked.
- A one-way hash (SHA-256) of your IP address and your browser user-agent string — kept for security and abuse prevention. We never store your raw IP address.
- Timestamp and a random unsubscribe token.
No cookies are set by this site. No analytics scripts run. The 3D scene runs entirely in your browser and sends nothing.
Why — the lawful basis
We process your name, email, organisation and role on the basis of your consent (UK GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)), given when you tick the box. We process the hashed IP and user-agent on the basis of our legitimate interest in keeping the form free of abuse (Art. 6(1)(f)).
What we do with it
We send you a welcome email and, as the working group forms, occasional emails about the draft criteria and the convening. We notify the founders when someone joins. That is all. We do not sell, rent, or share your details with anyone for their own purposes.
Who processes it on our behalf
- Cloudflare — hosts the site and stores the subscriber database (D1).
- Resend — delivers the emails.
How long we keep it
Until you ask us to remove it, or until the convening concludes and the list is retired. Unsubscribing marks your record as unsubscribed; you may ask for full erasure at any time.
Your rights
You may ask us for access to your data, to correct it, to erase it, to restrict or object to its processing, to receive it in a portable form, and to withdraw consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of earlier processing. Write to privacy@beyondscarcity.earth or reply to any email we send. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data you may complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk) or your local supervisory authority.
Changes
If what we collect changes, this page changes first. Last updated 27 October 2026.
